Part of my crushed and manipulated chicken series. "Call Ripley" is a mash up of sexual, primal and birth imagery to create an anticipatory object that evokes strong reactions from viewers.

Part of my recent series that creates objects with references to animal/insect parts with an ominous look and feel. Underlying the work is the idea that certain objects have the power to trigger reactions and basic, possibly unconscious feelings.

Compressed and formed chicken wire part of my most work. This object like others in the Metal/Fabric series suggest or hint at actual things without exactly illustrating them. In this case the object suggests (at least to me) a animal head in the form of a mask.

Steel wire, chicken wire, fabric, various types of wire mesh that is bent, cut, ground, manipulated and reconfigured. This work as well as the related chicken wire and steel wire sculptures might be characterized as Gothic Anthropomorphic Ominous combining curvilinear forms and the weight of Gothic with clear references of animal and human forms. They are meant to be stand alone original objects without ironic subtext or meaning.

The title refers to the first offering presented to God, Abel's offering of a lamb. As the story goes God was pleased with Abel's offering but he rejected Cain's offering of grain. Things took a turn for the worse after that.
